Answer

The center of gravity of the top block is (cg1 + 1/4), since the first block has been moved one quarter of a unit to the right from its previous location. (Its midpoint is now directly over the right edge of the bottom block, which is one quarter of a unit from the table's edge.) The center of gravity of the bottom block is -1/4, since it is one quarter on and three quarters off the table. We simply average these two numbers.
