Answer


A comment in a C program begins with the special character sequence `` /*'' and ends with the special character sequence ``*/''. You can start a comment anywhere you want. A comment doesn't have to start in any particular column, or be just one line long, or even be on its own line. For example:

      /* This is a single comment on a single line. */

      /* This is a single comment
         that spans two different lines. */

      /* There are two comments */ /* on this one line. */
