Alpha_1 Mime Extentions

Netscape and Mosaic can be used to view certain Alpha_1 related files by adding entries to your personal .mime.types and .mailcap files. The following will allow you to view URT RLE image files with getx11 (xv doesn't work very well with .rle files) and Alpha_1 data files with viewa1.

In your mailcap file (~/.mailcap) add:

image/x-rle; getx11 %s
application/x-a1; viewa1 %s

(If you have an image/* line, put the image/x-rle line first.)

In your mime types file (~/.mime.types) add:

image/x-rle rle
application/x-a1 a1

Try It!

Bark texture file (.rle)
Sphere surface (.a1)
